These gentlemen from our Technical Support Department, led by Manager Bud Piland, became NFI Certified Master Hearth Professionals!

The NFI is the professional certification division of the Hearth Patio and Barbecue Education Foundation (HPBEF). NFI’s objective is to increase public safety by establishing meaningful credentials for professionals involved in planning and installing residential hearth appliances and venting systems.

NFI certifies planners and installers in three hearth product categories based upon fuel type:

– NFI Gas Specialist

– NFI Wood Burning Specialist

– NFI Pellet Specialist

Once someone becomes a specialist in all three of these fuel types they are certified as a Master Hearth Professional. An NFI Certification formally validates the specialist’s extensive knowledge and expertise based on predetermined standards of safety and protocol. An NFI Certified Specialist ensures that any hearth project is executed with the utmost in safety, professionalism & industry expertise!
